Welcome to Nurse Botanicals

I founded Nurse Botanicals shortly after retiring from my Nursing job in 2017.  It was about this time that I really starting to notice those fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots. Being a child of the 70's and 80's I never really gave any thought to protecting my skin from the elements, particularly the sun! 

Being a Registered Nurse, I have an acute understanding of the largest organ in our bodies, which is our skin. Having a love for learning I decided to enroll in Natural Skincare Formulation courses at The School of Natural Skincare, Formula Botanica and The NY Institute of Aromatic Studies. 

And then the obsession began. I am intensely committed to seeking out the most effective and the most natural ingredients I can to address the issues that many women in my age group face.  The ingredients I use are specifically targeted to address the issues of dry skin, fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots and redness and irritation. In addition, my products focus on skin barrier repair and support. I incorporate active ingredients into all of my products with these skin concerns in mind.

During my quest for the very best ingredients, I discovered Chaga Mushroom.  After doing some research, I was amazed at not only the health benefits, but also the skin benefits of this "Adaptogen" Mushroom. I then began making tinctures and extracts and adding this ingredient into most of my formulations.

I ethically harvest my medicinal mushrooms in the pristine Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York. I formulate, create and package our products in small batches. This is why Nurse Botanicals can offer you the best mushroom tinctures and the best adaptogen skincare products at an affordable cost.  We now serve customers in both Upstate New York and Rockport, Texas, and we are thrilled the we're able to turn our passion into our very own website.
